Raheem Williams is an economist currently serving as the Director of the Kevin Kane Center for Opportunity Policy at The Pelican Institute for Public Policy. He has worked for numerous liberty-based academic research centers and think-tanks. Before joining The Pelican Institute, he worked as a Policy Analyst with the Reason Foundation. Raheem also worked as a Research Specialist for the Center for the study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise at North Dakota State University. Raheem received his B.A. in economics at Florida International University and his M.A. in financial economics from the University of Detroit Mercy. He spent his formative years in Thomasville, GA before moving to Jacksonville, FL.
He enjoys writing on critical policy issues, virtual reality gaming and exploring America’s natural wonders with his wife. Raheem currently resides in Metairie, Louisiana.
