Baton Rouge — CEO of the Pelican Institute, Daniel Erspamer released the following statement after the passage of HB1062 out of the Louisiana House of Representatives:
“Every day, countless Louisianans face overburdensome hurdles to be a successful entrepreneur. We praise the Louisiana House of Representatives for passing HB1062 to reinstate Louisianans’ right to earn a living and grant a fair pathway to challenge arbitrary regulations promulgated by occupational licensure boards. The Pelican State is one step closer to passing licensure reform that ensures people’s dreams aren’t crushed by anti-competitive and unnecessary government roadblocks.”
