Laurie White Adams is the Director of Governmental Affairs and Chief of Staff for The Pelican Institute. Before joining Pelican, she spent almost 20 years as a private school administrator specializing in the creation and maturation of advancement, marketing, and admissions programs. Laurie serves as Metro Councilwoman for District 11 in East Baton Rouge Parish, where she has taken a data-driven approach to reducing crime in hotels and motels, addressing sources of litter in the community, increasing civic engagement, and reducing spending.
