Sydney joins Pelican Institute with over 15 years of experience in providing high-level communications and brand strategy, both as an in-house professional and as a consultant. Her multidisciplinary approach spans across diverse sectors, including Fortune 500 companies, the entertainment industry, renowned law firms, nonprofits, and political campaigns. Her functional approach to marketing and communications strategy has proven successful in leading strategic brand operations. She has an impressive track record in audience engagement and excels at conveying complex messages in engaging ways that spark interest, inspire action, and shift paradigms.
Having spent much of her childhood between New Orleans and Lafayette, Louisiana, Sydney returned to New Orleans to pursue a master’s degree from Tulane University. She also earned her B.S. with honors, from Spring Hill College and has served on several boards in maternal health. Her deep-rooted connection with Louisiana fuels her passion for creating a culture of freedom and economic opportunity, which aligns deeply with the mission of Pelican Institute.
Away from her professional life, Sydney is a devoted mother to three boys and a golden doodle named Beau. She is actively involved in her Catholic parish, spending much of her free time volunteering in both parish and school events. She eagerly anticipates furthering Pelican’s remarkable journey in Louisiana as their CMO.
