STATEMENT: Pelican Institute Applauds the Senate on the Passage of HB199
BATON ROUGE (5.12.2021)— Pelican Institute for Public Policy CEO, Daniel Erspamer released the following statement after the passage of the streamlined sales tax collection bill from the Louisiana Senate with a vote of 37-0.
“We applaud the Louisiana legislature on taking another step towards the passage of this critical legislation. By streamlining our sales tax collection we will make it easier to do business in Louisiana. It is crucial we reform our tax climate to ensure job growth for Louisiana families.”
